This happens all the time...
I click on an icon (ie.. Recycle bin) or hit a key on the comp and BAM ,... reboot!
what could it be...?
I JUST reformatted, and it didnt change much...
I have XP 1 gig of RAM
Athlon XP 2600
could it be a virus...
I also have this same error occur when I am in 3d games too
I tried updating EVERY driver...
no luck
I tried a RAM mem test
they say they passed...
I am out of ideas...
please help me out here
this has been going on for months! :)

ok.. if I boot in safe mode, then what...?
Do I simply wait for a crash...?
I wouldn't knoww hat to do once in safe mode... the crashes are random and arbitrary...

1 your in the wrong forum, should be in pc hardware below.
2 see if can borrow a psu to see if that is causing the problem.
3 reseat all cards, ram & cables(both data & power) to the motherboard & drives.
4 check that the cpu fan is running right & cpu is not overheating.
5 check all the cans(capacitors) on motherboard are flat top & not domed.

I have to agree with ddp on this one. It sounds like either a heat/cooling issue, or a PSU prob.

i agree with DDP as well....and do u have any type of virus protection....cause that as well can be the problem, if all other steps in previous post fail...if you do what antivirus software are you using...
