I have some DivX files, and some subtitle files in .srt format. I am trying to author a DVD with the subtitles, but I'm not sure how to go about doing it. I have Nero, Vegas, and DVD Architect. Any help on the best plan of action in doing this would be greatly appreciated, and if more information is needed from my end, I can easily provide it.

It looks like we have kind of the same problem. My post is at http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/162589

However, my problem is a little more compex. If you just want subtitles over your movie and don't care about the ability to turn them on or off, then you can use VobSub I beleive. Get it at http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/subtitle_tools/vobsub.cfm

I'm a newbie at this, so you might want to have somone else confirm before you take anything I say seriously...

I can't figure this VobSub out. I tried to use the VOBMUX feature to combine the subtitle and DivX file into a new AVI file, but I couldn't open the resulting file in my DVD authoring software.

I would have thought that combining a subtitle file with a DivX file would be easy, but apparently I am sadly mistaken.
