I have a MAC so i am limited on P2P file sharing so I bought into some bogus MP3downloadHQ crap and wasted money but limewire was given to me and is ok so far but I am not getting enough sources and blablalba.. i was wondering if anyine has gone PRO with this and could tell me if it is a good deal or not..because they claim is you pay you get more sources and download speed is increased hmmmm... i dont want to get ripped off again,,, woe isme...

no, if you pay it doesn't get better - any P2P software that says you can pay to go pro and it will be better is a scam.
don't by any kind of P2P software. by any chance can u use IRC or BT?

i got limewire pro for free. i canrt remember were from but i can tell u to goto google and type limewire pro free download.

hmm... i was perfectly helpfull, i gave her the answer to her question - limewire pro isn't better, your the one getting anti-social and petty.

I have been trying Limewire and also have Limewire Pro. I have found so far that Pro does not seem to perform much faster than the plan old Limewire. The search engine is quick most of the time and sometimes the files are limited on resources. On either version.
It's not to bad considering I got both for Free. And it does not have any Adware/Spyware like most of the other P2P softwares have. I will continue to use it for a bit a see how it goes.

The funny thing is that you can download LIMEWIRE PRO off of limewire for free. I dont think they can complain about that since they are the ones giving it to us.

thanks to all of you and yea bastar1 you i think need to calm down everyone was being nice and helpful but you did take it to the next level.. sorry.. LoNer -- hey i have been having some trouble with bts i havent sucessfully dl anything... i need a better client do you know of any for mac besides bittorrent3.2.2 the dl site i am using blocks that line so i need another client.. any sugesstions? any one else too?

I use limewire quite a bit and I like it, so I have no issues with download times. I can download a 30mb file in about 10min.
I guess it depends on what your really looking for when it comes to file sharing.

i hope ppl that are using the free version of limewire know that its choc full of spyware, most of those shitty p2p apps are.

spyware is a resource hog(slows down computer performance), spyware can send information back to the creators servers about your surfing habits and cause lots of popups at random intervals to...well...popup(while hijacking your browser as well)(commonly known as ad-ware), other types of spyware can log passwords, steal personal information ect ect. the first 2 kinds of spyware that i mentioned are usually bundled with p2p apps or shareware programs while the latter is only usually installed on your comp via malicious code or trojans.
