Hay c22shoot,
Got thr zip file...thank you...even got it to convert..xcept the AVI would not play on Winblows media.

Here is some backgrond...I have 42 8mm 2hour video tapes, the first recording was done 16 years ago this past Feb. I got a VHS/DVD player recorder so I hooked my old 8mm camcorder to it and recorded it directly to DVD. The make and model of the recorder is; SYLVANIA DVR90VG "DVD RECORDER WITH VIDEO CASSETTE RECORDER.

It did a very good job of converting all the tapes to DVD. Now I need to edit 42 two hour disks. To do that I figured I need to do it in the only way I know how...that is to get in an mpeg format to inport it to editing software.

I recorded it in DVD-R mode. Well that just about cover's my need for conversion I'm already greatful for the help you have given...thank you once more.

Hi GSpot

I use MPEG2VCR to edit my DVD-R. Leaves you with a compliant MPEG file that you can then put into a dvd authoring program. Send me a Private Message via this board, for more details, we cannot under rules continue on this thread
