Yeah it was a fluke, works fine now. I tried watching Beverly Hills Cop last night from a burn I did yesterday and it would play a little (up to the part where Foley is in the box truck and the cops roll up, for you that know the movie... and if you don't you should, good picture) and just freezes. If I try to skip chapter that point or any point before it locks up. Even if I press eject it says on the player "open" but doesn't do anything and it keeps the last frame it had before locking up displayed on the screen. Although it does work on a cheap Colby DVD player I got free with furniture, which I know isn't a good player to test if a disc burned right. Also a few others in the first DVD player don't navigate in the menus correctly (Point Of No Return I remember off hand) Guess I have to figure out if my DVD player is dying as there has been no problems up until now with burned movies or if the updating of Nero/installing of ASPI has made it difficult for my DVD player. Thanks again for all your help everyone!
Ok, one more question. I think... :)
Totally off subject but since you all seem to be problem solving guru's I'll ask here, worse case maybe some can tell me where I should post it. Here's my problem. I don't currently have internet at home so I rely on my connection at work. I like to use limewire for various things (not movies, I don't like that sort of thing) but my work has recently found some way to stop limewire from connecting to the network. Any ideas? I've tried changing the listening port with no success but then again I'm not really sure what are proper numbers to use. Any help would be greatly appreciated as has been all the help you guys/girls have already been.
I am a new user so please bear with me. I am using Nero 6 Ultra and I am curious. When using the recode feature, at what percentage do people notice a change in video quality? Most of my movies are about 60%. Is this good or should I remove extra's to get a higher percentage? I am viewing on a 25" TV so I don't see a difference but some day I will like a large screen or maybe plasma. Will my movies look bad or will they be ok? Thank you for any info.
i personally do molvie only, and no DTS, so i guess most of my movies come out at 85% or above. I personally cannot tell any difference. But everyone is different (i don't use recode, but Shrink, and Nero to burn)
Thank you creaky. I have one more question. On some movies it will skip about 2 min ahead in the chapter. This only happens once in the movie. "IE in T2 Special Edition" This also happened in Star Wars II. I used Nero with DVD43 on both movies. It is not a big deal but I was wondering if there is something I can do to avoid it? Thank you.
