I've been searching over the forums for several days and haven't been able to find anyone else that's discussed this yet. I have a DVD9 disc, and I'd like to burn one DVD-R with just the film by itself, and a 2nd DVD-R with all the bonus material and special features, keeping all the original menus intact on both discs. The VOB set with the actual movie is VTS_01, and the other materials are VTS_02 through VTS_07. I ripped the entire disc using SmartRipper, and then stripped the first VOB set with IFOEdit, putting the movie into a directory by itself, that was simple enough. Now I want to take VTS_02 through VTS_07 and make them another separate, working set...I've tried stripping each set into a folder using the "strip streams" options in IFOEdit, and checked the "Create New VIDEO_TS.IFO & VTS_01_0.IFO" option when I stripped the VTS_02 set, and renamed the rest by hand. I also did a "Get VTS Sectors" afterwards, and it corrected several errors in all the IFO files, but the files wouldn't play in my PC's DVD player. How can you take multiple sets of VOB files after the movie set, and set them up as their own DVD-R with the same menus?

What I believe you have to do is copy the original menu files into your extras folder and then press get vts sectors. What I believe happens is the player checks the ifo files and searches for vts_01. In your case your vts_01 is on disc one and your disc 2 starts with vts_02. When you create new ifo's, it creates the new one with the vts_01 filename. Thus there is no connection with the ifo and your vts_02_x.vob files.

Sorry it took me so long to post back, reality's been catching up with me....anyways, I've come very close to getting this right, I have 2 folders labeled DVD1 and DVD2, with the VIDEO_TS folder inside both, DVD1 has all the original menus, and the VOB set with the movie, and DVD2 has all the original menus, and all the bonus material on the disc. Everything works except for a few menu choices, which I can't figure out how to fix. I'm using VOBrator and IFOEdit, and I've found the VOB ID's for the ones that aren't working, and the command lines that tell one PGC to link to another, and it's pointing to the correct PGC and Title Set, but when it gets to that point on the disc, instead of going to the PGC specified in the post command, the disc just stops. I've also looked for differences in the original IFO and this one, and haven't been able to find any. I'm guessing there's something somewhere else in the IFO that affects this, anyone know how to correct where menu buttons point to?
