Hey guys i just installed a new WD 40GB hardrive. i acctually installed it before but i reformatted my computer. now when i got to my computer there is only one diskdrive. could you guys help me out i know its kinda noob but i did my searches thanks.

what drives are on what cables & what jumper settings like master & slave. does bios see the hd? what is your system specs?

when i go on device manager it shows the harddrive. what im wondering is how do i get it to show up on my computer. BTW this is my secondasy harddrive. i only see my master drice (c:).

(assuming your using windows) if it shows on the device manager but not my computer etc then its not partitioned & formated as ddp mentioned.Go into control panel-administrative tools-computer managment -Disk managment.Here you will see the state of the device and be able to format and asind device letter etc - it will then show up on my computer.
