Greetings all - first time here and just learning.

I'm trying to save multiple cd audio images (NRG) on a DVD and I'm not exactly sure how to go about it. I have a large number of compilations (images) created.

I've created the CD images (.NRG) in Nero and was wondering the best way to create a DVD backup of the images. Is it as simple as burning another image, but on DVD? Should the files be converted to something else first?

I tried doing a search, but to no avail.

Thanks in advance!

in Nero burning rom (not Nero smart start) select DVD in the top left corner of the startup screen, and then click on DVDROM, the first option. Then just find your image files and drag on the right explorer window and drag them over to the left, to burn to the dvd.

For the best quality mp3s use EAC (exact audio copy) to rip your audio CDs and LAME to encode them. Follow this guide:

Thank you! Will that create a data disc or will that create an image that then needs other software to read the image?

that will create a data dvd with the images in it. you will need Nero to read the image files in the future, as NRG files are propriotary images created by nero

Thanks again DJ! I made a number of master back-ups last night and they all worked beautifully. I will be back as I learn and try new things!

Cheers!
