Not between songs, but occasionally a brief, fraction of a sec to a few seconds. I'm using the latest Nero, do I have something setup wrong? Need a plugin of some kind?

Try reducing the burn speed, how does the buffer behave when your burning a disk?

Did this happen with older version of Nero or is this the first time you have used it.

Does it happen with other burning apps?

Please post your system specs.
