Does any audiophile out there no if the MP3s that are created by DVD Audio Ripper to rip the PCM Stereo tracks off a DVD are equal in quality to the MP3s you would created ripping Audio CD tracks (assuming the same bitrates are being used - I usually use around 192 VBR in LAME or the preset standard.)

I've got some Music Video DVDs and I'm trying to decide if I can get the same sound quality if I RIP the audio from them using DVD Audio Ripper as opposed to buying the Audio CD and using LAME.

Well right off the bat, I see that DVD Audio Ripper can't do Variable Bit Rate encoding. Who the heck rips MP3s using Constant bitrate anymore? Sheesh. So I guess I'll have to using DVD Audio Ripper to rip to WAV then using LAME to convert to VBR MP3. Kind of defeats the purpose of paying for an 'all-in-one' functionality program.
