Hello,

What I want to do is rip my CDs with EAC and encode overnight with LAME. ID3 data is stored in filename, which is renamed (by frontend) after encoding.

Tried RazorLame frontend, which is great but not suitable coz it does not handle the ID3 data!
(says: radified.com 'RazorLame unaware of ID3')

Now using Monkey's with Lame as external encoder, this does the tagging and encoding perfectly but ... there don't seem to be an option for Win SHUTDOWN after encoding !! (only a notification sound)

So now I'm looking for a Lame frontend to do my batch encoding, -WITH- ID3 tagging configurable from filename -AND- Windows shutdown at the end.

Does anybody know if a suitable app exists or how to set this up with e.g. Monkey's ??

Thanks so much!

Give a try to Exact Audio Copy -- it has the features you are looking for.. and it's Free.

You can get the same here with the Lame encoder and instructions :-

I am using Exact Audio Copy to rip my cd's, but I thought it only did track-by-track encoding ?? (did that with EAC+Lame in the beginning)

I thought for overnight encoding I needed a separate Lame frontend...

How do I use EAC (latest version) to do bulk encoding ??
