I have an acoustic solutions 551 dvd player and a liteon 16x multiregion drive,
i use both datawrite dvd-r and some cheapo budget dvd+r.however some(a lot) of these discs skip and jump on my stand alone player but do not in liteon drive or in friends machines,
dvd player-acoustic solutions 551
drive - new liteon 16x multi burner
software-dvd shrink
compression -not much as i reauthor film and take out all extra content, therefore file is around 85-100% of origional size
ok cheers, what dye do these discs use and what discs/dye should i use?ive just used coptdvd at 4x and the disc seems to play back ok! but just froze but i was kinda hoping i could use a burner at 8x
Honestly...with video's always burn them at 4x. I know time wise its not the best. But I have always gotten the best results that way. Also is your dvd player rated to play backups?
Liteon makes my sony drive DRU710A. Verbatum and Tiyo yuden works great in these drives. Personally I like Verbatum (MCC003 media code), Product #94930 50PK. I've tested alot with this media running Nero cd quality test. Looks the best for me burned at 6X.
yeah, do as the previous gus suggested. plus do some searching, thre'll be loads of threads re skipping, freezing etc, limit size to say 4300mb etc; search the forums and ye shall find. good luck
