the fix we are on about for layer cake , is for using with dvd decryptor. you knock up a simple text file with the sector numbers provided in the help threads, then import that text file, this makes dvd decryptor deal with layer cake. dunno myself about how to do it with other software tho. a bit more searching should get ya what ya need. good luck, quite a good film.
ps i have latest dvd decryptor, yet i still couldn't do layer cake, even using very latest anydvd. psl file worked for me straight away. other ppl will have different success/failures..

If your Layer Cake is a region 2 disc you will need the PSL File. This list came from LIGHTNING UK!
Quote:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As of today, I know the following titles DO need PSL files with 3.5.2.0:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
'The Forgotten' - Region 2 (Dutch) - Link
'The Forgotten' - Region 2 (German) - Link
'The Forgotten' - Region 2 (Spanish) - Link
'The Notebook' - Region 2 (UK) - Link
'Little Black Book' - Region 2 (UK) - Link
'She Hates Me' - Region 2 (UK) - Link
'L4YER CAKE' - Region 2 (UK) - Link
I found this on the Decrypter forums as well

look, buy AnyDVD if you like, it may well help with newer films....BUT... as we keep trying to say, dvd decryptor latest WITH PSL file, should be sufficient. If not there are (far) too many useful suggestoins for you to do this (for free f you so wish). Mods pls end our misery with this film, there are more than enough workarounds
