All this time I thought my Azureus was fine, but I don't think it is. All my ports are forwarded and opened (I'm using port 53000), all my faces are green and all my torrents are VERY popular. (100+ seeds, 1000+ leechers)

However.. I don't even break past 50kbs often... any suggestions? I have 3MBits Download and 256kb Upload and I use Rogers Cable. My download limit is set to 0kbs and my upload limit to 25kbs.

On net downloads I average around 350kbs.

.......100/1000 is not a good ratio for downloading. What about a Music torrent or at least try one that has more seeders than leechers? Alot of times its just the servers can only handle soo much. I noticed Filelist and Torrentbytes speeds have really come down alot lately....

yes the ratio of 100:1000 seeders and leechers are not good. meaning you need to upload more so you can download more. and your bottleneck here is your upload.

with torrents that have a lot of seeders you might get a better speed.

what you can do is call up Rpgers Cable and see if they can exchange the download bandwidth with your upload.
lets say 2.5Mb/s down and 768kb/s up.
or maybe even a 50:50 dl/ul :)

The speeds are fixed and I don't even want to alert them I'm using BT.. =D

Well the torrents I use are mainly from Pirate Bay and some from BoxTorrents, so I will try increasing my upload to 40 and see what happens.

P.S. All this time I've been helping people out I thought my BT was fine lmao

try IRC :)
try one of those torrents that have a lot of seeders and see what happen. if its still quite slow then there should be something wrong.

you could take a look at the overall download and see how's everyone doing, if most of them is like that then should be normal. those ups must be go somewhere.
is there such a thing as bit torrent leak ?

try this script and see if your port/NAT is open.
http://forums.degreez.net/viewforum.php?f=2&sid=5783e4f0e0e02b90d6551647284f338e

i have problems connecting to kickassanime.
and someone told me to bypass to a proxy server.
http://www.proxy4free.com/page1.html
other than port 80 and transparent.

other advices ? be patient. try bittornado.

Just occured to me there is no point of forwarding a tracker port if I do not serve files. It made no speed increase anyway.

I use 53000 UDP (checked option to use same port as TCP) to connect to trackers.

Either way I'm back to square one. Any suggestions?

As of now, The Pirate Bay.

How can I connect to more seeders and leechers faster? At the moment I usually connect to 70%+ of the torrent's leechers and seeders.

lol the pirate bay, has one of the worst trackers ever! its always down and slow. try downloading from

www.elitetorrents.org, if u dont have a account u will need to register. the site is always fast because the seeders are CONNECTABLE and have 2mbit lines. i get 450kbs usually on files. try it and tell me how u went

I have tried elite torrents, uploaded for quite a while before the tracker messed up and turned my 2.31 upload rate into a BANNED. =(

They don't have too many game/movie torrents, mostly XXX etc. Of course I'm interested in XXX, but I've outgrown daily needs. =D

I know they do.. perhaps you misunderstood my post. =D I've been using them for over a year until their tracker messed up and destroyed my ratios.

No thankyou.. I think he has a couple viruses on it. =D

Well I think I've fixed my problem. Turns out The Pirate Bay is crap for speeds, and now I'm using TorrentBytes among other sites now and I'm getting very fast speeds.
