The only way to "rip" a DVD in realtime is to use a YUV capable capture card and feed the video stream to it from a stand-alone DVD-player (with Macrovision disabled).

Or a DVD sw player which the YUV output can be redirect to other application and not only the display.

No, I'm not aware of such player. Some software DVD players (eg. WinDVD, if I recall correctly) install DirectShow filters that enable the processing of DVD VOBs. However DirectShow filters don't always enable you to open up the files in a video editing software. Worth the shot, though, I guess.

If I understood your question right, you want to take an MPEG2 stream, manipulate it in real time, and then feed the manipulated stream to an MPEG2 decoder board. Is that right? That certainly requires tons of processing power and probably cannot be done on software basis (ie. you'll probably need a real time MPEG2 editor board with hardware implementation for the effects).

My task is much simpler.
In regular DVD flow the YUV output of the MPEG2 decoder is send to the display card, conberted to RGB and displayed on the monitor.
I want to use a different YUV to RGB conversion and send the modified RGB to the display card in real time. (No need to store the MPEG)
I have all the building blocks I need except the real time DVD ripper.
