I need help on how to get pass DVD protection

I was trying to make a copy of a DVD for a friend of mine, but the DVD has protection on it. My friend said that there was a program to get pass the protection on the DVD. Sadly my friend forgot the name of the program, but said that I could get it from download.com. Does anyone know what a good program for getting passed DVD protection?

Hmmm, never really heard of something like that.

How about you do some reading of the forum posts, or maybe even the guides that people have taken the time to write, then if you have any questions come back and post them here.

Try DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter.
Both programs will pull off the encryption and are free.

Dvd decrypter is a more powerful ripper and also has a burn engine.

Dvd shrink will compress those larger, original dvds to fit on standard dvdr.

Here are some great guides for both these programs.Check them out, practice on some rw's,and come on back if you have anymore questions.

I agree w/ DSYF3R ... do some reading. Also this certainly didn't belong in dvd-r for advanced users.
