Hi
i just bought a pioneer DVR 109 (firmware 1.17) dvd writer. i tested to burn a backed up dvd, no problem with that.I wanted to clear my HDD's to do a format and burn all my avi, mpeg, dix,... to one dvd. The disk starts burning and then i get the "Could not perform end of Disc-at-once", communication failure error. I'm using Nero 6.6.0.8a and i'm using OPTODISC (OR4) media.

iv'e tried everything, format, updating ide drivers, upgraded my writer firmware to 1.40 (released on 24/03/05) exactly for the "disk-at-once" error.. :-s no luck with that either. So i went to the store, where they tested it with their media and mine and it worked fine. I even got a new writer just in case, but the problem remains. i dit find some info at nero homepage, nothing helped.

your error is a little bit different then mine.. what is : "Session fixation error" ?

YES!! problem solved!
It seems to had a problem with the power supply and ide cables.
I connected the drive with a single power supply and i used a 40 wire ide cable, only connected to the drive and no other hardware!
seem to work now!
