hey guys i recently had a emprex 8x for about 9mo and after o lets say
100 or so dvds later it burned out so i went and got a btc for about
the same i paid for the emprex but now when i burn any movie they all
skip in the dvd player i had this about 2 mo and i dont know why they skip it has no problem burning. I
updated it and i used roxio and nero i tried 2x 4x 8x cant get any
movie not to skip i tried it on 5 differnt dvdplayers so i am stumped
if any one can relate or give some good advice plz let me know thanks..

You should uninstall roxio if you have Nero already. This program is notorious for causing conflicts with other programs. You may want to defrag your hard drive regularly depending on the amount of backing up you do.

You didn't mention what program you use to rip or the format and brand of media you are using.

i use the memorex dvd+r and is roxio better then nere or the other way around?

Shit can the memorex and Nero is in my opinion better than roxio.

What program do you use to rip your dvds?

ed522 I have a BTC branded I/o magic burner and I have found out that it is very picky about the media I use,after lots of trial and error RitekG04 at 4x and Taiyo Yuden TYG01 at 4x wwork perfectly for me. I also updated my firmware to rev.0059
