I Use Cool Edit Pro 2 and Waves and i was wondering what other people use or if they think anything else is better than that combination
In my opinion they are the industrys finest

cool edit pro has been bought by adobe and is now called adobe audition. it is a decent 2 track editor. very similar to sound forge. definately not the industry's finest though. get yourself a Pro Tools system with WAVES bundles...thats the industry standard.

For the best quality mp3s use EAC (exact audio copy) to rip your audio CDs and LAME to encode them. Follow this guide:
