i have a question.. i recently purchase a laptop gateway that is and the fan turn on pretty loud and i mean its on most of the time im using my laptop..don't fan only turn on when it get hot..is something wrong with it? help me plz!

check with other same dell laptops at bestbuy to see if noisey or not. if not but yours is than take back laptop for replacement or be fixed

I would also suggest what ddp mentioned and that is to actual compare your Gateway Laptop to one just like it, again back at BestBuy. My wife?s Dell is fairly quite and the fan does stay on all the time, but also increases speed when there is a need for it to cool down a bit more.

the over at bestbuy does make any noise like this one and they ran test on it and they said it was not defected and they charge a 15% fee on restocking fee which is $150..meaning i can't do n e thing about it!! but thanks for your comment and advice!
