what drive does a Freecom Classic 16x DVD burner use

Hi ,
I have a Freecom Classic 16x DVD burner.
Using DVDInfoPro it tells me the drive is a
FREECOM_ DVD+/-RW16N9 and the firmware is
FR53.

Any idea what actual drive it is ? NEC / LiteON etc...

I checked the freecom web site, but there isno new
firmware for this drive, only for a drive that is identified as
FREECOM_ DVD+/-RW16B9
