I just bought a new NEC dvd burner. Everything works great except when I burn a dual layer dvd movie, it won't play on my home dvd player. When I burn single layer movies, It will play on my home dvd player. They all will play on my pc. I use dvd+rw discs to burn on. Someone please help me.

Sounds like compatibilty issues to me. Have you tried the discs on another standalone? DL-RW discs are not possible do to the very nature of the construction of the disc. I will assume a typo on that one glharris!
