ok i'm for sure i have a problem i have downloaded one av from bearshare when i try to play it there is no picture but sound then when i use a bittorrent to download a avi it still dosn't work what is wrong with them, the problem is there is no picture and my media player settings allow avi files, thanks to any one who helps

You most likely don't have te right codec. Use GSpot and see if you have it and fi you dont, downlaodt he correct codec.

open up the AVI file with GSpot and see fi you ahve to codec installed. If not, download that codec and then it shoudl play right.
