So I started downloading files using bitcomet, I thought I understood what was needed - but no.

I downloaded an application I've been trying to get for some time - it came down in 33 segments - I understand that.

But then I try to join the file segments using a program called simple file joiner and... Nothing, the file looks like a bin file or something, I thought it would all be joined together to reveal a zip, or rar file.

This is what I downloaded,
The file I downloaded.PROPER-TDA XML file
The file I downloaded.PROPER-TDA bitcomet file
tda-app1.001
tda-app1.002
tda-app1.003
I downloaded 33 of these segments...

Can someone please give me some advice in a novice way - telling me what I need to do. It would be very much appreciated.

Thanks Guys

From looking at your post, it seems to me that you have downloaded compressed files. So you need to un-compress them. A tool in which I use is WinRar. Once you have this program, right click on the first segment i.e. (filename).001 then within the pop-up select where you wish to extract the file to.
I hope this made sense and helps you out.
