Gigabyte GA-7N400 Pro motherboard

I have a ga-7n400 pro m/b. It has 4 ide controllers on board. the thing is can I connect 4 drives (2 hard & 2 optical) and have them all set to master? If I can do I also have to install the raid software to make them all work and can I connect the optical drives to ide 3 & 4
