Man, I am good eh, one reply and sorted..................LOL

Glad to hear you sorted it out, and also that you posted back what the problem was..............

Must admit, it would be nice to know exactly what in the BIOS was causing the error.
I would assume it may have something to do with the chipsets.

You may find that with an updated BIOS, that you may require an updated chipset driver..................

I take it that your optical devices read commercial discs just fine?

How are you devices connected (inc Hard drives) in relation to IDE Primary master/slave configuration?

If your burning process is failing, surely there is something that tells you it has failed, or is your PC freezing, or is windows giving you a blue screen etc..........

i talked to people over at Pioneer over d phone and it seems the media i was using is not supported by the drive
by the way the media i used was TDK DVD-R 4.7 GB so do not buy this type of media ur just wasting money and i apreciate ur help
so the problem is with either Pioneer which i doubt it and TDK
no offense i thought TDK was good but this just sucks in my opinion

Yes I am surprised about that regarding TDK, they are reputable discs.

I myself have a Pioneer 108, but only use Ritek discs 4x G04's, these have no problems at all.
I haven't tried TDK, but would be worthwhile trying a different brand in line with what Pioneer have said.

Maxell
Taiyo Yueden
Other good brands to look at................
