Recently the above item refused to read any form of media inserted into the drive. I have uninstalled and reinstalled varoius software thro my local network without success.However we have found ceratin disc will work but for no obvious reason.I am loath to pay out for a new item but it looks that way.This bring me to my secong problem of how to remove the damm thing.I have removed all the obvious screws to the rear of the case but it wont release.Do I need to do this!
Has anyone any experience of this problem or had to replace the drive on an identical or similar laptop.Lastly have I got the right forum if indeed someone can help me !
