i was just wondering if this system is worth buying my friend is putting it together pentium {r} 4 cpu 2.40 ghz 2.39ghz 608 mb of ram with a kds 19 in flat screen nec dvd rom drive samsung cd rw 52-24-52 just curious would it be worth buying

depends on what kind of mobo it has, and other components, like what video card and what kind of ram. how much are you going to pay for it?

it has 2 video cards 1 is a s3 graphics pro savage ddr the other is a nvidia geforce 2 mx/mx400 it also has a i/omagic dvd rw 16x dual layer rw -r +r rw im not much of a gamer on the computer he told me i could have it for $300 with other stuff also dont sound to bad

$300 is a pretty good, if you're just using it for basic programs it will work fine

has 32meg of onboard ram for video besides the nvidia & is a combo drive dvd/cdr/w. $300 that includes 19" monitor is good

can i do any kind of up grade to this machine i dont know alot about computers would it be pretty good to back up movies like down load to the hard drive and after backing up a movie then delete the movie thanks for all the info

what size hd does it have? check motherboard or friend to see what ram it has in sdram or ddr & # of ram slots. maybe upgrade to 750meg or 1 gig depending on ram slots. cpu upgrade might be limted depending if motherboard can take the prescott cpu p4
