Motorola v300: help needed :(

Well I want to put wallpaper and ringtones to my v300 phone so I got a data cable ( http://www.radioshack.com/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=CTLG&product%5Fid=17-785

I also got Motorola Mobile Tools (version 3.11) to help me install it. However when I try to install it it says that I am missing drivers, so I installed the p2k and tried use it as the drivers but when I click the add hardware wizard it says that files ser2pl.sys and V878_690.inf are missing, I am able to download ser2pl.sys and it works fine, however when I download V878_690.inf it does not work fro some reason

Also when I start mobile tools my screen stays stuck on "initializing" and nothing happens. I think I've tried everything!

This is driving me mad, I've been trying to figure this out for two days!

Actually my computer won't even install the phone. When I go to add new hardware it tells me that it cannot install phone because files are missing (listed above)

How do I get my computer to recognize the phone?

Make sure ur pluging the USB into the back of your tower and not the front... that was a HUGE problem w/ me.
