I've tried using many versions of AnyDVD and CloneDVD. All combinations seem to have the same result - writing stuck on 0% after re-encoding. I'm using a LG GSA4163B writer with perfectly good Ritek G05 or Sony DVD-RW discs and have installed the latest firmware and ASPI drivers. What is going wrong?

I have never been able to get DVD clone to work either. Try using a combination of software to get the job done. DVD Decryptor, Shrink, and Remake all work well together.

I've only used the trial of CloneDVD2 and I couldn't get it to burn, so I just used Nero. I assumed I couldn't do it because it was the trial version (sometimes trials aren't fully functional).

AnyDvD = DvdShrink-reauthor(Movie only) + DvDDecypter(burn)

i haven't tried CloneDVD beause, DvdShrink and DVDDecypter
has almost always worked for me, have also been using
AnyDvd for about the last couple of months on all these
new movies coming out...well worth the money.......

have also backed up about 300 movie's with Ritek G0'4
and GO'5 with great success.................

maybe its because i'm trying to copy these new dvds, they might have better encryption. i've tried using AnyDVD and dvdshrink - still get the same problem. what versions of the software are you using and what process you do follow each time? i don't need to use dvddecrypter as well as AnyDVD do i? i thought AnyDVD decrypts the discs automatically.

I always have to use Decrypter for some reason. Have a friend that uses Shrink without Decrypter and has no problem. Try using that and see if it works.

well i don't know what set up/ system specs , you have on your
computer, that might help us help you...like do you have a dvd-rom/ or cd-rom/cd-burner what??

the anydvd program just runs in the background while your other
programs, are working themselves.................

order............AnyDvD running in the background, DVDShrink =
Re-Author (movie only).......DVDDecypter to burn...............

i'm also doing all the new movies, like stated above, you need
DVDDecypter to ..........BURN>>>BURN>>>>>>>>>>>in this setup
i don't have CloneDVD...or Nero, don't find i need either
program............

I'm using a new LG GSA4163B dvd-writer with a separate DVD-ROM to read from (though I've tried reading from the LG drive). I can only think that its some kind of driver issue that i've not considered. Any suggestions?

system specs:

2.8GHz P4, 512Mb DDR RAM, 80Gb 7200rpm HD running XP Home Edition SP2.

I've tried old and new versions of DVDShrink,AnyDVD etc... as I heard there were problems with some versions. But still the damn thing just gets stuck on 0% after seeming to rip & re-encode perfectly. Thanks for your help up to now, it has been much appreciated.
