Sort of related to another thread I started, I am trying to convert VOB files created with SmartRipper to DiVX format. I am folowwing the guide found on this site, but am having problems with VFAPI. I decided to see if I could save straight to DiVX in DVD2AVI. It works to an extent, but the resulting AVI file has distortion in the top 1/4 of the frames. It looks like a sync problem, but different settings don't seem to have any effect. Any suggestions? Thanks.

P.S. I have successfully done this with DVDs that I could read straight from the DVD disk. The VOB files I'm working with that have this problem were ripped with SmartRipper and have a 16:9 aspect ratio.
