VIDEO FADING IN AND OUT -ALIENS

I own the multi disc set of the Alien set and when I play it through either my cyberhome or my aspire dvd player the brightness fades in and out. I do have the dvd player running through my vcr and am not sure if macrovision has anything to do with it? I was wondering if I backups might play with out fading since the macro has been removed? Any help would be great.

Never hooked your stand alone dvd player through your vcr and then to the tv. <------- bad idea, this will cause improper signals and loose the picture quality in a great deal. Try to connect your dvd player straight to the tv and see what's up.
