Try DVD Decrypter - latest version - it will do the job.

Would be useful if you could provide some more detailed information.

Are you trying to backup a DVD9 to a DVD5 or are you trying to back up a DVD9 to a DVD9 (dual layer disk)?

What movie are you trying to copy?

Is the movie an original, copy or a download.

Without some decent information it is very difficult to assist.

Also what's your error message with Shrink and Decrypter?

you need to go into settings, go to edit, then preferences, when that screen appears you will be looking at you dvd size, pull down the menu and change you dvd size to dvd9 which is dual layer setting, I know it will burn dual layer cause I have done it

wait, do you have a dual-layer disk that you are burning to? It looks to me like you want Shrink to burn a DVD9 to a DVD9 but, you are providing it with a DVD5 instead.

So just exactly what are you trying to do?

Why do you want to put a DVD-9 on a DL disc as a DVD-5? That would be pointless and a waste of your DL disc. It would make much more sense to:
1. create a DVD-9 ISO image with Decrypter in the ISO read mode.

2. Use Decrypter in the ISO write mode to burn the DVD-9 image to your DVD-9 DL media.

Just as colw stated.

As kenneth1 stated;
Even if the movie is a bit to large to fit on the DVD-9 disc, Shrink can be used to reduce the size to fit. You mentioned it does not work. Are you getting any error messages?
