How do you force the pc to put everything in the RAM (without the page file). I always have 1GB of RAM free, and there is 500MB of the page file used...

you need a pagefile.
how much ram do you have?

The ram should be in use normally if your pc is working ok.

in task manager what is physical memory total & available telling you?

I have 2000MB of RAM. And I always have from 1000 to 1500MB free. So only a quarter of the capacity is used. And the pagefile is from 500MB to 700MB. So if everything would be in the RAM it would work faster (I think) and there would still be some free space in the RAM.
