After downloading a song i tryed to play it with windows media player and it said Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file. How can i make this file so it can be played threw windows media player?

For the best quality mp3s use EAC (exact audio copy) to rip your audio CDs and LAME to encode them. Follow this guide:

does your WMP play other mp3s okay? have you tried playing it on something else, like winamp?

I had the same problem,I tried it on music match player and it works fine for me
