I am new to MP3's so could use some info, I have copied CD's to my hard drive as MP3 files, how do I write them back to a disc that I can play on my DVD player. I understand that you can put many MP3 tracks onto one disc. I used windows media player to rip my CD's.

First of all stop using windows media player immediately and use Exact Audio Copy instead. The guide to install, configure and set up can be found here

Do you want to burn your mp3's to a cd or a dvd.

eact audio copy is kick ass i agree!; but if you want to play ur music on ur dvd player if it is remotely modern it sould play mp3's (note: dvd players will only play dvd video files on dvd recoderable media) if you want to play mp3's on ur dvd player thet must be burnt on cd-r's; if you want to convert back to wav use Nero , musicmatch jukebox etc.

yep....eac is one of the best for ripping music cds to mp3. as for compiling mp3 discs to play on a dvd player i use roxio or Nero. there are others but i find these pretty easy to lay down discs the way i like them. use cdrs for your mp3s as the method for putting mp3s onto dvd is not very easy due to the way dvds are read in the players. it can be done but there is no real benifit in doing so.

@weazel and others: is there any reason why I should use EAC instead of Nero? Does EAC rip as MP4?

just curious

EAC is the best because it has C2 error informaion or sumfin which means the program scans every sector of the cd and doesn't miss out information like others do. While it takes longer to rip to mp3 it is worth it in the long run. When ripped to a VBR they sound better than CBR.

CDs have C1 + C2 error correction. EAC just conformes stricktly to the "Red Book" standard and uses the info when reading from a disc and doesn't deviate.
