Is the movie 7,2 GB, or the entire DVD? Cause if the movie track is less than 4,4 GB... it's easy! Rip the movie to HD, and create new .IFO with IFOedit!

i think to compress it so much you had better use cce to re-encode.
in my opinion nothing else will come close to cce for encoding.

Why dont you split the movie over 2 discs even easier

What would be the point in splitting it to 2 disc's, its so simple to put on 1 disc,
all you need to do is your homework.
just like being at school eh.

even after stripping out unwanted items you might still not fit it onto a single disk unless you are going to re-encode it. Whats the point its like trying to get 10 gallons of water into a 5 gallon can :-0. Besides re-encoding takes ages and degrades the quality spitting it over 2 disks is much quicker see my guide

The movie i'm trying to burn has english subtitle,i need to keep that! If i re-encode it will i still be able to have the option to choose for english subtitle? I'm very new to this and i just purchased my pioneer A05 dvd burner a couple of days ago. Before that i used to rip dvd movies and make them fit fullscreen on a 800mg cd.If anyone knows of a guide or the procedure on how to get a 7 gig movie to fit on a dvd-5 it will be GREAT!!!!! But anyways thanks for the advice. Also i purchased a software by the name of DVD ECHO,am i heading the right way? Their has to be a way to make this movie fit on a single layer and keep the subtitles, for now i'm trying and trying!

Is their a software that does it all? The DVD ECHO software i purchased has the following programs:

DVD DECRYPTER
IMG TOOLS
RE MPEG2
IFO EDIT V0.94
SLIDE SHOW MOVIE MAKER
DVD2AVI
CHAPTER X TRACTOR
TMPGENC
This might sound stupid, but how can you find and tell the extra shit in IFO EDIT?
