A: is your floppy disc drive. I'd help you more but I'm unsure of what exactly you are trying to do.

Are you trying to backup your whole hard drive or just certain files? If you're trying to do just certain files, I'd use whatever CD/DVD burning software came with your computer or burner. I personally think Windows burning utilities suck. If you're trying to backup your entire hard drive I'd use Norton Ghost and nothing else. I've used other programs and supposedly the burns were successful, but when I tried to restore I got errors.

Hope that helps.

This is easy...get a floppy and stuff it in A: drive, while you're at it get a book called Windows XP for dummies.

you can pick it up from any good book store, and turn off the caps.

Yoll probably find youv selected either your destination or source drive to be A: (floppy disc), and your going to fit sweet FA onto it, change your destination drive to your optical drive (usually D: on a single hard drive computer)

@jimmybry,
My "For Dummies" series reference is not to be an insult, but one of the best instructional guides I've every used, and covers many subjects.
