I am trying to burn a south park dvd with dvd decrypter. I shrink the DVD to an iso file with DVD shrink and go to ISO write mode on DVD decrypter to burn. Before it even gets to 1 percent i get a message saying FAILED TO WRITE SECTORS 32-63. RETRY FAILED INVALID FIELD IN CBD. What could be wrong?

I think it's probably a media issue, but it could be a bad rip of the original, drive problems.

What kind of media are you using?
Have you tried other media?
Do you get successful burns with the same media with other movies?

my old dvd burner quit working and I just bought a sony today and put it in. The program included is Sonic RecordNow and everytime i try to burn a dvd it says the burn was successful and the DVD comes out blank. The dicsc are khypermedia but they worked great on my old drive. I'm just looking for an easy way to back up my collection since Pinnacle Instant dosen't work with the sony.

khypermedia is not known as good media. As squizzle said its probably a media issue. Since you replaced your drive try updating your firmware.
The error you receive from Decrypter usually means it can't read the disc. Try cleaning it after you update your firmware.

I tried to burn to a TDK disc and got the same error. I get the feeling now that burning these DVDs isn't worth the trouble anymore. The burner is going back to Circuit City tomorrow and i'll stick to CDs. I still have over 70 dvds i've done in the past.

you should try the Decrypter forum: http://forum.dvddecrypter.com/

search for iNVALID FIELD IN CBD. Don't trash your burner yet.

I agree w/ squizzle - don't get rid of it yet. This is something that probably won't take long to resolve. TDK also uses some iffy manufactors. Post in DVD Decrypter with your log.

I was just frustrated last night. I got it working. I had to run the movie thru DVD Decrypter as an iso file with AnyDVD in the background,Run the iso file thru shrink,then burn with Pinnacle Instant. 3 dvds so far with no problem. Pinnacle was actually the software that cane wth my old I/O magic burner. I get errors when burning with Recordnow,but Pinnacle works fine. I burned on Fujifilm discs,i'll have to try TDK also. No more Khypermedia.

Glad things worked out! It can be frustrating when you run into errors/problems but more than likely someone else has experienced the same thing and can help. Stick with good media - my preference is TY's.

kypermedia sucks big time. I've never used media as bad as that before. Also, I think RecordNow sucks too. Half my MP3 discs came out with problems. Nero is great.
