Hi guys, I was told by the Company who made my comp to look into buying this product. I placed an order on NEWEGG. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16835100007
I was wondering on how to use this product. I'm pretty sure a lot of you guys have done this before. Thanks for any reply, -TOM-

yeah its a great product all you have to do is put a layer of it between the cpu and the heatsink and it should lower the temp down

Firstly if this company built your PC, then what exactly did they do?????
The compund you have posted is for use to aid heat transfer between the CPU core and the CPU heatsink, and would be required to be added to the top of the CPU before attaching the heatsink/fan assembly - unless they have used a thermal pad.

It is good stuff and I prefer to use this rather than the thermal pads, as the pads to me are not as effective and should you require to remove the heatsink at all, it does leave quite a mess, whereas the arctic silver compund can be quite easily removed.

Basically you just need to add a nice amount to the top of the CPU core, wipe it around so that no bare metal is showing (but don't over do it, use about a fingertips worth), then place the heatsink/fan assembly on top and secure the retaining clips - then you're done.........................

...............PIO is no go, DMA all the way...............
Beware of the Pixies - they move in over night and turn your life upside down

1) A tech guy from IBUYPOWER.COM told me to go to a blue screen before the Comp start up. He then told me to read to him few different things. Then he said my comp is hot. He asked me "what Do I mainly use my comp for?" Video games, I replied. He said it will get even hotter when I play games. So he told me to look into this product.
2) I will try my best to locate and use the ARCTIC properly. I might have more question when I go home.

Thank, -Chimp-
