Nope.
Hey I saw (from that other thread) you guys are running nVidia FX5200?
I have one, in Asus VS, with 128MB.
Somebody has 256MB - was that you Sasha? Bet it doesn't help...
My VS (Video Suite) has VIVO and I can capture with it, recording from Laserdisk and VCR, or just watching TV.
I designed this rig (ages ago) with optical SPDIF and the VS, to capture LVDs.
Doom3 and FarCry, however, do not much care ;^(
I have been watching & watching prices and Radeon 9600XT with 256MB is now 'calling out to me' priced at $174.95 Canadian (US $140. = 80 Pounds Sterling).
They damn thing does not VIVO though, but WTF I haven't captured anything lately :^)
And I just picked up the Doom3 Expansion Pack (OGS is a stone-cold killer - a UT champion from the 90's)
Something must be done, and done soon...
And hey, I can watch TV on my 'service-bay' rig (17" KDS flat-panel) if I hookup my beloved Pentium Pro, which has AVer Media TV capture card.
But I must unhook it whenever I am servicing, which is pretty well always.
Now I can run the TV (on 19" Viewsonic) while servicing, but I don't watch much TV except for F1 :^)
I have my Aperture set 256MB on my FX5200, and it actually plays Doom3 pretty well on the default Doom3-detected settings...
Maybe I should just bide my time and pickup a next-gen vidcard when the 6800GT mellows a bit in price?
Dunno.
But the expansion pack is right here, right now, LoL :^)
