DVD-R's Play in Standalone but DVD+R'S Won't +RW'S Will??

I have made several 30+ backups using my Sony DRU500. Using DVDXCopy (for about 5 copies,waste of Money)I was able to get +R's to play in all of my stand alone players and even an occasional would play in the playstation. Now Using DVD Decrypter, IFOEDIT, and NERO 5.10 none (+R's) will play in 2 of my stand alone's. They will only play in my JVC. I use the same options same setup with -R's and they will play in everything except PS2. Any Ideas??? Maybe NERO? I have no Problem playing my +RW'S in the same players. I have used Verbatim and Memorex +R's

How do you burn ps2 dvd based games with dvdxcopy? When i try downloading alchohol and recordnow, it says error 1721, contact your package vendor. Thanks.
