I got the slim tool for my regular/black PSTwo. Had to trim it to fit my PSTwo, but it works great with Swap Magic 3.6. It looks like the gap for the "C" part is blocked off on the Silver PSTwo. I figured Sony got smart,so this was done on purpose. Well, I think the only thing you can do now is get a regular PSTwo or you can open up the Silver PSTwo and tap down the "C" switch...Good luck...

I don't know if tape is the best thing to use, because I haven't done it before. I guess you just have to get creative and figure something out f you decide to open it. But before you open up your new Silver PSTwo, know that your console will no longer be under sony's warranty if the seal is broken. It will be VOIDED. I'm pretty sure that it shouldn't be too hard to tape down that switch, but my advice to you is to wait and see if anyone has a better idea on solving this problem, I would rather keep the warranty...

Here, I found this site for a PSTwo case replacement, ignore the case replacement, just look at the pix with the two KILL SWITCHES [pix #10 and #11]. I think pix #11 along with the KILL SWITCH is where the "C" part should be. I don't know if you can just order these switches by themselves, but looking at pix #11, I have a feeling that tape should work just fine. Remember, if you do this, it will void your warranty. Good luck...Here's the link:

just ended up doing the tape method but found that the slim line doesnt play backups very well. was playing winning eleven liveware and loading times are very very slow. think i might take it back to the shop and keep my old ps2 with slide tool method.
thanks for all your help though
