Everytime I reencode a movie using cce the movie plays great on my computer but when I try it on my set-top player the image jumps. Especially when there is a lot of action. I have tried it on 3 movies with the same result on all three. Any suggestions? Thanks

I have tried 2 different brands, Meritline and some Hypermedia. Both at 1x. What brand do you use? Thanks!

I had a similar issue and found my problem to be with NERO anytime I burned a movie that I had to transcode with NERO I would get a jumpy or choppy video. I switched to using RecordNow and it works like a champ.

Well, when I re-encode the movie with rempeg2 it works just fine so I think the problem lies in the CCE program. I just hate waiting for rempeg2, plus if the movie is over 2 hours long the quality isnt that great. Its real blocky. Thanks for the info guys!

Have you tried Using DoItFast4U
you can find it at http://members.cox.net/doitfast4u/
this program makes your ripped DVD "CCE-Ready"
It has a NTSC auto selection button if youre not sure if you have to ForceFilm or Decomb
Sounds like you were trying to Transcode a Interlaced movie and forgot to decomb it hence the annoying image jumps.
