I have Swap Magic 3.6 with the Swap Magic Tools. I have managed to burn a copy of my Killzone and get it to work online and everything with the patching of the DNAS and all that. The only thing is....the game runs really slow and load times are horrible....like every 2 1/2 minutes the DVD will slow down and the game freezes for a minute....then it keeps going.....then does it again....etc., etc. I wanted to know if there is something I can do to make the game run with no pauses. I burned the game at 4x speed and I am using Verbatim DataLifePlus DVD+R 1x-8x Speed disc's. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am using a Sony DRU-710A DVD+R Burner. Thank You in ADVANCE :)

Find out what version ps2 you have, this will help determine what media you can use. (+ or -). Version 1-4 only use -r's, except some v4's can do both. Version5 and higher should be able to play either. and slim line use R+, they work the best. Download disc id and find out the media id, just do a search are disk id and you will find every thing you need to know about disk id and what the media id means

I would just stick with -R unless your DVD player can only play +R. They just seem to work much better for most people in the PS2's.
I use -R for both my V7 and my slim V12
Use some -R discs like TDK or Philips. I have a Sony DRU-700A and they work great. My friend has the newer DRU-710A like you and uses only the TDK 4X DVD-R and they work great for him. It is a great burner and can do any kind of media you could want.
And if you are not already try using DVD Decrypter to burn them with.

JB51284, just checking. You say you have a DRU-710A +R burner? It doesn't just do +R right? my Sony can do any media type.

Deacon954, not sure why?
I use -R because i have a V7 too and just recently got a Slim PSTwo so i never switched discs. But anything above a V5 should play either.
Never tried Verbatim discs, i will stick with my Philips 8X DVD-R
they work every time.

I will say that my slim PSTwo has a DMS4 Pro chip, so that may be why i have no problems with -R. But i have seen a lot of people here who have said they use -R with their slim PSTwo also.
