I search and saw a program called IFOedit, but its not compatible with XP, I dont want to see the stupid previews, or Legal stuff in the begining of the movie. I want the menu to pop up as soon as i press play or click it on my computer
Ok, so in shrink....Under Full-Backup Where it shows the folders that make the movie up, I want to just pull the whole extras folder and delete it. Do i have to re-author or what? Re-authoring hasnt worked for me yet, everytime i try, the functionality of the menus goes away
If you rip with DVD Decryptor you can use Nero Recode 2 instead of Shrink. I believe the menues will still work even when the extras are deleted. You may also want to use MenuShrink to cut down the size of the menues (removing animation and other needless fluff butn keep functionality) so that the movie will require less compression.
A nice utility I use with all my backups is DVDRemake. I leave a functional menu, the movie (of course), deleted/extended scenes, bloopers, and the making of if I so choose. I edit out previews, trailers, warning screens, or whatever else I don't want. I don't recommend it for those in a hurry and prefer speed over quality. You will have to rip the dvd to your hdd first (I use dvdd), then edit with DVDRemake, encode (I use RB/CCE), and then burn (I use nero). End result IMHO is better than the original.
I haven't used Nero recode2 for a while but was told it will leave a functional menu in reauthor mode (or whatever it's called in recode2).
I may try one just for $hits an giggles.
Clonedvd 2 will also let you edit and still keep the menu working. It isn't a free program and doesn't decrypt without the help of AnyDVD but an excellent program.
