i would change it to Agp/onboard to try it out. Should have automatically detected it there though.

It does detect that it is there via the inbuilt ROM on the card, however the CMOS decides whether to use it or not - via settings.......................

so should i change it even tho the card works and stuff will it make it run at the speed its made for cause i think PCI might slow it down? change or not?

If you are using an AGP graphics card then you should change it to AGP, as you are not using PCI.

AGP and PCI operate at different frequecies, so if you use AGP but leave it on PCI, you will not get the benefit of the AGP specifictions.

So yes, change it..................

Actually you have hit on a good point, I have just looked under my properties for my AGP card and indeed it does say PCI bus!!!!!!!!!!

I shall have a probe around and see if I can come up with anything.

Unless someone else can jump in here and state that their system displays AGP instead of PCI Bus, then I would assume it maybe a 'glitch' within windows.

All my System proggies - sandra, aida report that it is infact AGP and not PCI..........

Still there maybe something amiss, but I have no problems with it......

The explanation from your link makes sense.

But I shall be looking for something more definitive............
