I have an AMD 64 processor. I have it slightly over-clocked and it's running around 104 deg. F. My case has two fans plus the one mounted to my processor. Does anyone know what the highest temperature is that AMD will allow. I'm debating increasing my over-clocking value but I don't want to damage the processor. I've looked through the AMD website but can't seem to find any recommendations on their site.

well your temps at the moment are fine, due to the soundproofing in my case i get temps 45c (113F) when idle and runs up to over 50c when full load (encoding etc) and thats not overclocked at all. The 3800+ 64 athlon can run at up 70c.
Pick out your model for specs form here..

If your thinking of over clocking more i would advise you start looking into quality case fans and a good heatsink and fan for the athlon itslef.Personally im about to go for a zalman but theres loads of good manufacturers out there. You might wana read the overclocking and cooling threads for more info...

According to manufacturer's specs. I can take it up to 70 deg. C, or 158 deg. F. Is over-clocking worth added wear & tear? Would I see an increase in performance by over-clocking further?
