my internet is working on my house pc but not on my laptop. I've connected the laptop straight to the modem and it doesn't work. i did ad aware checks, spyboot search, registry fix. went to internet options and deleted intenet files, cookies, and clear history, nothing new, same stuff. it doesn't say anything on the laptop when i try to go 2 a site, take forever no action canceeld or anything.

i've found out its my internet explorer on my laptop. i signed into yahoo instant messager and it signed my in no problem. the internet does work. when i try to go to a website it takes at least two minutes to open each website
on the house pc only a few seconds, just like a regular dsl internet should take

actually i don't know what the problem was
i just conectted everything up to the router and it worked.don't get y it would work with the router but not straight to the modem, never did that before
