I am using bit tornado 0.3.7. I am behind a firewall and I have always had that little yellow light, so my downloads were fairly slow. Today one of my downloads went green and I was quite happy. It looked like it was going to be done in about an hour, so an hour later when I check back its frozen about 5% past when I left it. I restart it and it goes green and it does the same thing. It goes for about 20 minutes then freezes. Help! Thanks for any suggestions!

i've had that. it was a problem with my ISP. they didn't like my uploads so the periodically shut me down. I've also had the problem where I pause the dl and couldn't get it to resume.

I've had that same problem where the download stops after about 10-15 minutes. I thought it was a problem with my computer. I did recently upgraded my ISP service. I was getting about 10 Kb/s before the upgrade and now I'm at about 100 Kb/s or so. If it's really a problem with the ISP what are some ways I can stop the freezing from happening?

I am using bit tornado 0.3.12 and in the beginnig it used to freeze as well. You have to change the maximum peer connections per download. Some computers just doesnt support so many connections at a time.
So go to "preferences" in you BT client and then at the bottom "Advanced".By default max peer connections is set up to "no limit".Try change that to 50 or less and save the changes. So consider that if you are downloading 3 files at a time, after setting up 50 max peer connections, you computer will try to connect to 3x50=150 max peer connections(3 files with max connection 50) and it will freeze again....

This has something to do with SP2.If you go to Administrative Tools->Event Viewer->System you probably have tcpip errorid 4226(TCP/IP has reached the security limit imposed on the number of concurrent TCP connect attemts). There is a third party patch for that, just google eventid 4226.Or check out this links

Hi, if your internet connection freeze when downloading with BitTornado or any other clients, try this :

Go in command prompt and type this :

netsh winsock reset

And then restart your PC. This apply only for user using Windows XP Service Pack 2. Good luck!!!
